Get a free travel vaccine jab with your Travel Insurance

If you are going on holiday, you may need to be vaccinated to avoid diseases while travelling.

If you have super travel insurance, you can get a free jab for your trip. Visit sikkerrejse.dk to learn more about the general recommendations for vaccinations in the country you plan to visit. 

How the vaccination takes place

You can choose from the following vaccines:

• Boost diphtheria/tetanus
• Hepatitis A, B, or C for adults or children
• Hepatitis A and B (Twinrix)
• Yellow fever
• TBE for adults or children
• Influenza

Travel Insurance Super provides access to a single dose of vaccine per person in your household for the entire duration of the insurance and covers the first dose if a vaccine has more than one dose. 

You can get vaccinated as soon as your Travel Insurance Super becomes active. However, the vaccination codes will be available 48 hours later on My Page. Use these codes when booking your appointment through Sikkerrejse.dk.

If you need additional vaccines, you can purchase them when you take the one we offer you for free.

The offer of a free vaccine is valid only for vaccines provided by Danish Medical Practitioners' Vaccination Service, the most prominent vaccine provider, with around 40 clinics throughout Denmark.

How to book an appointment for a travel vaccination

You can book your travel vaccination by logging in to My Page. Under details about your Travel Insurance, you will find a vaccine code that will give you and your family access to travel vaccination.

Once you log in, you can use the link to sikkerrejse.dk. orgo directly to sikkerrejse.dk and book your time. Either way, please write the vaccine code you get on My page in the comments box when you book.

When will I get my vaccine code?

It may take up to 48 hours after you buy Travel Insurance before you can see your vaccine codes on My Page. If 48 hours have passed and you still cannot see your code, please get in touch with IDA Forsikring.

If you don't have our Travel Insurance Super, you can purchase it on My Page.

Please note that if you have received a free travel vaccine and choose to cancel your insurance before one year has passed, Tryg reserves the right to charge an amount equivalent to the value of the vaccine.
