Tryg Medical Hotline serves as your safety net, assuring that medical advice is always within reach. This service offers:- Online doctor consultations: Immediate access to medical advice and guidance via online consultations.
- Prescription issuance: The online doctor can issue a prescription for you if you require immediate medical assistance.
- Assessment of illness or injury: The doctor can evaluate your condition online, helping you determine if your illness or injury can wait until your regular doctor is available.
- Referral to the emergency room: If you're dealing with an injury or illness that cannot wait until your regular doctor's office opens, the online doctor can provide a referral for an emergency room visit.
Limitations of Tryg Medical Hotline
While Tryg Medical Hotline offers valuable support, some situations require you to contact your regular doctor or seek immediate treatment. You can access Tryg Doctor Hotline via your mobile device or computer. You have the option to download the free Tryg Sundhed app for mobile or tablet. With Tryg Medical Hotline, you can have a virtual consultation with a doctor via video call, allowing the doctor to evaluate your condition visually.Before having a video consultation with the doctor, log in online or through the Tryg Sundhed app. You log in using MitID, even if you are not the patient.Your insurance grants access to Tryg Medical Hotline
With IDA Home Contents Insurance, you gain automatic access to Tryg Medical Hotline as part of the coverage offered by IDA TRYGhed. Even during your travels abroad, you can seek assistance from the hotline if you have Travel Insurance purchased after 1 June 2022.The cost of Tryg Medical Hotline depends on your insurance:- Travel Insurance purchased after 1 June 1 2022: Access is free.
- Home Contents Insurance policy purchased after 23 August 2021, without Travel Insurance: The hotline costs DKK 149 per consultation.
- If you don't have Travel or Home Contents Insurance, you must purchase or switch to them to access the hotline.
Tryg Medical Hotline Operating Hours
Tryg Doctor Hotline operates when your regular doctor’s office is closed. The service hours are as follows:- Weekdays from 16:00-22:00
- Weekends and holidays from 9:00-17:00
