Holiday home insurance purchased before February 4, 2019

The insurance covers the contents of your holiday home - including personal belongings, furniture, and everything that falls within what you usually would consider having in a summer and vacation home. The insurance covers home contents if damaged in connection with fire, short circuit, lightning, burglary, storm and flooding.

The insurance covers repair and restoration costs in the event of damage caused by a break in a concealed pipe or service line.
If the floor must be broken up due to a damaged water pipe, the insurance will cover the costs of removing the flooring and installing a new one.

The insurance policy covers damage to woodwork or walls caused by fungal infestations and damage from wood-destroying insects. It also includes significant rot damage that affects the timber's strength and functionality. Please note that there is an insurance excess of DKK 2,500 for each claim related to rot damage.
