When can I take out health insurance? 

You must be between 18 and 60 years old to purchase our health insurance. Your insurance needs to be acquired and accepted before you turn 60.

We can't offer health insurance to children over 18 living at home.

How does health insurance cover me? 

Health insurance provides coverage for illnesses and accidents, ensuring quick treatment.

At IDA Forsikring, you can choose between Standard Health Insurance and Health Insurance Plus. Health Insurance Plus offers five additional coverages, including a second opinion for life-threatening illnesses and coverage for up to five dietitian sessions (BMI over 35).

Where can I access my health insurance information? 

Our health insurance is offered in collaboration with Nordea Pension. When you purchase your insurance, you can view it on My Nordea Pension.

Does my insurance cover previous injuries and illnesses? 

Coverage applies under the following conditions:

• You have had health insurance for at least two years.
• Your previous injury or illness was fully treated when the insurance took effect.
• You were symptom-free and treatment-free in the first two years of having insurance.

You can transfer your seniority if you have health insurance with another company.

Does health insurance cover chronic diseases and conditions? 

Health insurance includes doctor-prescribed treatment for chronic diseases, conditions, or ailments that arise up to three months after the insurance takes effect.

Typical chronic diseases (the list is not exhaustive):

• Arthritis
• Allergies
• Skin diseases: eczema, acne
• Metabolic disorders

Am I covered abroad? 

Health insurance covers you abroad if you are stationed overseas by a Danish employer.

While on vacation abroad, medical treatment in the host country will not be covered if you fall ill. Our Travel Insurance, however, covers medical treatment, repatriation, and disrupted holidays.

On the other hand, our Health Insurance covers treatment if you acquire an illness after returning to Denmark.

Is my spouse or partner also covered? 

Your health insurance doesn't automatically cover your spouse or partner. However, you can purchase insurance and select the option to insure them or modify your existing insurance.

Can I take out health insurance for my children living at home over the age of 18?

It is not possible to take out health insurance for children over 18 living at home.

How do I use my health insurance? 

To use your health insurance, report the claim through My Nordea Pension.

If you need assistance finding a healthcare provider, Nordea Pension can help. A doctor's referral is essential for any medical examinations or treatments.

For the treatment of issues like gambling addiction, alcohol, medicine, or substance abuse, only a written medical certificate is needed.

You can file the claim through My Nordea Pension without a medical certificate if you need to consult a chiropractor or osteopath.

How can I use video consultations with a doctor? 

If you need to get treated quickly, you can sometimes have a video consultation with a doctor. That way, you don't have to see your doctor in person, and you can get treatment faster since you don't have to fit it into a busy schedule.

Here's how it works:

1. Visit the website eyr.dk or download the Eyr app from the App Store or Google Play.
2. Log in with your MitID.
3. Fill out My Account.
4. Click "Add" under the payment method and select Nordea.
5. Enter the code provided by your employer or log in to My Nordea Pension and find it, where you'll also find your health insurance.
6. You're now ready to book a consultation whenever you need it.

Can I get help for stress through health insurance? 

Our Health Insurance includes Stress-Free, a programme that offers quick assistance and treatment for the early signs of stress. You don't need a doctor's referral; experienced psychologists can help you manage stress.

How do I get assistance from my health insurance? 

Our health insurance is provided in collaboration with Nordea Pension. If you need assistance, call them at 70 33 99 00, Monday to Thursday from 8:30 to 16:00 and Friday from 9:00 to 15:00.

When does my health insurance expire? 

Your insurance will automatically expire at the end of the calendar month when you turn 67.
