IDA Outplacement - career transition support - gives you targeted tools and strategies to sharpen your job search, clarify your skills, and define your career direction.
You also work through the key questions that often arise after a termination so that you can move forward with confidence:
Start your outplacement programme as soon as you receive your termination notice. Acting early means you don't have to wait until your employment ends, and you gain a faster, more efficient path to your next role.
Yes - our results speak for themselves. Based on experience, 92% of participants secure new jobs before completing the programme, and 71% secure employment during their notice period.
These numbers show that most people prefer to move forward quickly rather than rely on unemployment benefits. While IDA Outplacement gives you powerful tools and expert guidance, remember that it cannot guarantee a job - your effort and engagement make the difference.
Dedicated career consultants guide you throughout the programme. They come from IDA or work closely with us, so you always receive expert support.
Every consultant understands the job market for IDA members and knows the challenges and opportunities you face. That means you work with someone who truly gets your situation and helps you move forward with confidence.
An IDA Outplacement programme takes you through the entire job search process with your career consultant. Together, you identify the roles you want and get hands-on support to craft a strong CV, write persuasive applications, and prepare for interviews.
Your consultant tailors the programme to your needs, but typical focus areas include:
IDA Outplacement gives you expert guidance across every stage of your career transition - from defining your goals to landing your next role.
A typical outplacement programme includes 6–10 meetings, each lasting about 1.5 hours, with your career consultant. You also receive ongoing support by phone and email throughout the process.
Most programmes run for around six months, but you and your consultant decide the best approach together. You can choose a shorter, intensive programme or a longer one that gives you more time to cover every aspect of your career transition.
All IDA members can access career support, but outplacement programmes are not free for everyone.
If you hold supplemental unemployment insurance through IDA Forsikring in collaboration with Topdanmark, you qualify for a counselling programme at no extra cost.
In some cases, your employer may cover the programme cost when you leave the company.
