You can initiate an outplacement programme when you receive your termination notice, eliminating the need to wait until your employment ends, thus ensuring a more efficient path forward.
Based on our experience, 92 per cent of participants secure a new job before completing the programme. Within the notice period, 71 per cent secure new employment.
This means that most individuals avoid relying on unemployment benefits. Keep in mind that an IDA outplacement programme can be helpful, but it's not a guaranteed solution to finding a new job.

With an outplacement programme, you'll receive professional guidance across all aspects of your career, from job searching to clarifying your career goals.
A counselling programme typically consists of 6-10 meetings, each lasting 1.5 hours, with your career consultant. You'll receive ongoing support via phone and email.
Usually, these meetings span six months, but you and your advisor will jointly decide the best approach to maximise the benefits of each meeting. It can be a shorter, intensive programme or a more extended one, allowing ample time to address various aspects.
While IDA members have access to the service, outplacement programmes are not provided free of charge to all members.
IDA Forsikring collaborates with Topdanmark on supplemental unemployment insurance for our members. If you have supplemental unemployment insurance, you can participate in a counselling programme.
In some cases, employers cover the cost of the programme for terminated employees.
