If I cancel my insurance, will I get my premium refunded?

As a member of IDA Forsikring, you only pay for the duration of time that you had insurance with us. It is our standard policy.

Insurance cancellation

Your insurance policies provide coverage for one year. If you sell your car or house during this period, you will receive a refund for the remaining premium amount, corresponding to the number of months left in the policy term.

Direct Debit (NETS)

After you cancel and have paid your bills through NETS, we usually process your premium payment on the first day of the following month.

We will pay you the money on your NemKonto (your regular bank account).

Paper Invoice

If you paid with a Paper Invoice, your premium will usually be paid on the first of the month following your cancellation.

We will pay you the money on your NemKonto.

Special for short termination

If your insurance terminates with a short notice period, such as due to a car, house sale, or a change in insurance, you will receive your premium payment within five banking days. This policy applies to payments made through a Paper Invoice and those made online via NETS.
