In connection with the fact that we are shutting down Car Care, we have gathered an overview of frequent inquiries.

When does my Car Care close?

Your insurance policy is terminated on the renewal date*. We will send you a termination letter 30 days before your policy expires. Check My Page to find out when your policy’s main renewal date is.

Since your policy is terminated on the renewal date, it can vary from policy to policy when they can no longer be used. Normally, tire changes occur in April and November, as those are the months when the average temperature for a day exceeds 7 degrees Celsius. It is at this threshold that it is recommended to change tires. If your policy is closed between the two tire change seasons, it may make sense for you to cancel the car care service after your last tire change. Read more under “early termination.”

*Renewal date: The day agreed upon in the policy is the last day that Car Care should cover.

Early termination

You can always terminate Car Care with one month’s notice. Since Car Care is a seasonal product, we recommend that you terminate your product immediately after your last tire change. For example, if your main renewal date is October 1st, the average temperature does not exceed 7 degrees Celsius before your car care is terminated by Tryg. Therefore, it may make sense for you to cancel car care after your spring tire change.

Why don’t you close Car Care after my last tire change? 

According to our agreement, we are obligated to offer the services in Car Care, but if you wish to terminate early, you are welcome to contact us and terminate according to the normal termination conditions.

My tires are at the workshop, and I can see that I won’t have time for another tire change. What should I do? 

Tire storage has been paid for until the next season (i.e., the following April or October), so the tires can safely remain at the workshop. Later, you can call the workshop and either arrange to pick them up or explore the possibility of paying for storage yourself.

Can I still use the car wash after my last tire change? 

Yes, even if you’ve had your last tire change, you can still use the car wash until your car care is closed.

Can I leave my tires at the workshop when I no longer have Car Care? 

When your car care is closed, you need to arrange with the workshop whether you should pick up the tires or continue to store them at your own expense.

Regardless of whether you terminate your product now or later, your tires can remain at the workshop until the next season after your car care has ended. If your car care ends in July, you can choose to have your tires stored until the end of the month for the next season, which in this example would be the end of October.

Can I still get tire storage in connection with my “last tire change”? 

Yes, you can. Tire storage lasts until the subsequent tire change season (i.e., the following April or October).

When should I have my last tire change done? 

You can conveniently check My Page to see your renewal date. We will send you a letter 30 days before this date, and you should have your tire change done by then.

Can I terminate my Car Care now? 

Yes, you can terminate Car Care with the usual notice period.

Where will I be contacted regarding the termination of Car Care? 

If you have given consent for us to contact you online, you will receive the information on your “My Page” and via email. If you haven’t given consent, you will receive a letter in your mailbox. You can find more information about and update your consents on My Page under my profile.

Are you introducing a new arrangement? 

No, there are no plans to develop anything new similar to car care.

What if I can’t pick up or store my tires myself? 

If you are unable to pick up or store your tires yourself, it is advisable to speak with the workshop to arrange continued tire storage.

Why is Car Care closing?

We have tried to create car care:

  1. At an affordable price.
  2. To make everyday life a little easier for you as a member.
  3. So that all members can safely navigate the roads with seasonally adapted tires. Unfortunately, we can no longer provide this without raising the price to a level that we no longer believe makes sense for our members.

What if my tires are damaged or lost after storage?

If the worst happens, you should call our partner, DriveClever, at 77 89 89 89. Often, a good conversation with the workshop can also solve the problem.
