If you choose to get IDA Accident Insurance, you'll be covered if you experience an accident resulting in permanent disability.
An accident is a sudden event or unexpected occurrence. You can also receive assistance for any necessary medical treatments following an accident.
For many people, receiving compensation for an accident that causes pain and health issues may feel like a temporary solution. While money cannot wholly take away the daily struggles, it can provide financial freedom and assistance with supporting aids, medications, and treatments to improve one's quality of life.
IDA Forsikring has launched a new, updated accident insurance.
Starting June 1, 2023, IDA Forsikring will no longer offer the old Accident insurance. However, you can purchase the new version of IDA Accident Insurance.
If you currently have the old version, you automatically keep it until you switch to the new version yourself.
Here is what the new IDA Accident Insurance covers
Beginning on June 1, 2023, you can buy a new Accident insurance instead of the old one.
The IDA Accident Insurance provides primary coverage and optional add-ons that you can select according to your specific needs. The new insurance policy ensures continuous protection at work, home, or travelling.

To receive compensation from your Accident Insurance, it is necessary to have experienced an accident resulting in a permanent injury of at least five pct.
If you have a permanent disability, it means you have long-term health issues that cannot be treated or cured.
An accident is a sudden event or unexpected occurrence caused by others, such as collisions, being pushed, or actions like twisting, tripping, or falling. Sports injuries can also result in permanent disability.
The compensation you can get from your Accident Insurance following an accident depends on the extent of your disability.
At IDA Forsikring, we determine the extent of your disability once your condition has stabilized after the accident and a healthcare professional has assessed the final consequences. We use a disability form to calculate your compensation.
The Labour Market Insurance (AES) determines the degree of disability. They, for instance, assign a degree of injury of 20 per cent for "loss of vision in one eye" and a disability degree of 25 per cent for "loss of thumb on the right hand."
Review the various levels of disability on our disability form
The severity of the injury determines the compensation amount.
In the event of permanent disability, we provide compensation based on a percentage of the insured amount. The amount of compensation corresponds to the degree of disability determined. We made the payment as a lump sum.
If a condition is stable and expected to last a long time, the determination of permanent disability will rely on the Labour Market Insurance Disability Table.
If your disability rating is 30 per cent or higher, you can receive twice the compensation amount.
If you experience a loss or amputation of a body part, like an arm or leg, or lose your hearing or vision in a healthy ear/eye, you have the right to receive higher compensation.
