Moped insurance includes Liability Insurance. If you hurt other people, their things or vehicles, you are obliged to pay for the damage. If you have moped insurance, you avoid paying for the damage out of your own pocket.
You can’t get compensation for damage to your own moped, as IDA Forsikring’s Moped Insurance doesn’t include Comprehensive Insurance.
Liability Insurance is mandatory. When you own a moped, you are liable if you hurt other people, their things or vehicles. In other words, you must have Moped Insurance when you own a moped.
There‘s no excess on Moped Insurance because it only includes liability cover.
If you have a small moped, big moped or a scooter, it makes no difference – all three types can be covered by Moped Insurance.
There are four main differences between the two types (small and big)

Remember that IDA Forsikring insures your moped regardless of whether it's a big or small moped.
In 2006, a registration duty was introduced for all mopeds. This means that all newly bought mopeds must have a number plate. If you bought a small moped before 2006, it may not have a number plate.
