How do I cancel my insurance?

When do I cancel my insurance?

You must cancel your insurance at least one month before the renewal date. Your renewal date is stated on your insurance policy.

If you cancel your insurance by your renewal date, you will not be charged.
If you cancel them at short notice, so before the insurance period has expired, you must pay a charge.
If you have had your insurances for less than a year and want to cancel, you will be charged.

Please note that you must give at least three months’ notice before the renewal date for dental insurance.See cancellation charges

If you got a mortgage on your house, you cannot cancel the fire cover in your Building Insurance. That’s because the mortgage company requires the house to have fire cover. If you have additional covers, such as glass and basin cover, you can cancel these.If you are selling your house, it is the buyer’s insurance company that must cancel the Building Insurance. If an estate agent is selling your home, they usually ensure, together with the buyer, that the building insurance is cancelled.
